Personal Data We Collect

Account data: your email address and display name, provided when creating an account.

Location data: GPS coordinates of your device, collected only when you grant location permission, used to show nearby courts and active games.

Activity data: courts you check in to, games you create or join, scores, and league statistics generated through your use of the service.

Device and analytics data: device type, operating system version, and in-app behaviour, collected automatically via PostHog analytics.

How We Use Your Data

To provide and operate Streetballer, including account authentication and personalisation.

To display basketball courts, active games, and players near your location.

To maintain your game history, scores, and league standings.

To improve the service through aggregated usage analytics.

To send you service-related communications when necessary.

Legal Basis for Processing

Contract performance (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR): processing your account and activity data is necessary to deliver the service you requested.

Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): analytics and security measures, weighed against your rights and freedoms.

Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): location data and any optional features for which we request your explicit permission.

Third-Party Processors

Google Cloud Platform (Google LLC, USA): application infrastructure and data storage, covered by Standard Contractual Clauses.

Apple Inc. (Apple Inc., USA): Sign in with Apple authentication, covered by Standard Contractual Clauses.

PostHog (PostHog Inc., USA): product analytics, covered by Standard Contractual Clauses.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active. If you request account deletion, we will erase your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.

Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

Your Rights

As a data subject in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data; to restrict or object to certain processing; and to receive your data in a portable format.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
